In February 2020, following Acquisition of 21st Century Fox by Disney of Star India's parent company 21st Century Fox by The Walt Disney Company in 2019, the company announced plans to integrate its new international streaming brand Disney+ with Hotstar in April 2020-leveraging Hotstar's existing infrastructure and userbase. This unified service is known as Disney+ Hotstar, and added List of Disney+ original programming, and films and television series from its main content brands of Walt Disney Studios (division), Lucasfilm, Marvel Studios, National Geographic Partners, and Pixar, in addition to Hotstar's existing content and certain content from Hulu.
